A quick and easy Halloween fruit tray that looks like a spider web, featuring a creamy yogurt dip. Perfect for parties, it’s healthy, fun, and ready in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 2 cups green grapes
  • 2 cups red grapes
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 1 banana
  • 2 kiwis (optional)
  • Pretzel sticks or licorice strings (for spider legs)
  • 2–3 blackberries or large blueberries (for spider body)
  • Edible googly eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the yogurt dip: In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon orange juice. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess as desired. Set aside in the fridge.
  2. Wash and dry all the fruit thoroughly with paper towels to ensure the dip sticks and web lines remain clean.
  3. Slice the apple and pear into thin wedges (about 1/4 inch thick) and toss in lemon juice to prevent browning. Hull strawberries and halve if large. Slice banana just before arranging.
  4. Place a small bowl or ramekin in the center of a large round platter (12 inches or bigger). Arrange fruit in concentric circles around the bowl, starting with green grapes on the outer edge, then red grapes, apple slices, pear slices, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries in the inner circle. Leave space between rings for web lines.
  5. Spoon the yogurt dip into the center bowl and smooth the top.
  6. Draw the spider web: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of dip into a small zip-top bag and snip off a tiny corner. Pipe straight lines from the center bowl to the edge of the platter (6-8 spokes). Then pipe curved lines between the spokes to create the web effect.
  7. Add the spider: Place 2-3 blackberries or large blueberries on top of the dip in the center bowl. Arrange 8 pretzel sticks or licorice strings around them to look like legs. Add edible googly eyes if desired.
  8. Fill in any gaps with remaining fruit, including banana slices. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 hours (add banana just before serving).

Notes

Dry fruit thoroughly to prevent dip from running. Use Greek yogurt for thick, clean web lines. Practice web lines on a plate first if nervous. Add pretzel spider legs just before serving to prevent sogginess. Dip can be made up to 2 days ahead.
