A festive, bubbly, and creamy patriotic punch made with layers of red and blue sherbet, Sprite, and optional fruit juice, perfect for quick summer celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint (473 ml) red sherbet (raspberry or strawberry flavor)
  • 1 pint (473 ml) blue sherbet (blue raspberry or blueberry flavor)
  • 2 liters (67.6 fl oz) Sprite or lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fruit juice (pineapple or white grape juice), optional
  • Fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries) for garnish, optional
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Chill your sherbet and soda beforehand for about 30 minutes.
  2. Add half the red sherbet into the bottom of a large punch bowl or pitcher.
  3. Pour about 1/2 cup (120 ml) of fruit juice over the red sherbet.
  4. Add a handful of crushed or cubed ice to keep the punch cool.
  5. Slowly pour 1 liter (33.8 fl oz) of chilled Sprite over the sherbet and ice.
  6. Spoon the blue sherbet gently on top to create a layered look.
  7. Pour the remaining 1/2 cup (120 ml) fruit juice and 1 liter (33.8 fl oz) Sprite on top carefully.
  8. Float fresh berries on top, add extra ice if needed, and serve immediately.

Notes

Prepare punch close to serving time to keep sherbet from melting and soda bubbly. Chill all ingredients well. Stir gently just before serving for uniform flavor or serve layered for presentation. Serve within 30 minutes for best texture and fizz. For dairy-free version, use dairy-free sherbet and natural lemon-lime soda. Alcoholic version can be made by adding 1-2 cups vodka or rum.
