A quick and easy dessert made with crisp apple slices, a warm peanut butter drizzle, and crunchy toppings. Ready in just 5 minutes, it’s perfect for busy nights or late-night cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 12 tablespoons warm water
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or almonds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp seeds (optional)
  • A light dusting of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Core and slice into thin rounds, about 1/4-inch thick. If not serving immediately, toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Arrange the apple slices on a serving plate in a single layer, slightly overlapping like nachos.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Microwave for 15-20 seconds until soft. Add warm water one tablespoon at a time, stirring until smooth and drizzle-able. Stir in sea salt if using.
  4. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture generously over the apple slices.
  5. While the peanut butter is still warm, sprinkle on chocolate chips, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, and seeds. Finish with a light dusting of cinnamon.
  6. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

For best results, serve immediately. The drizzle consistency is key: it should be like warm honey. Warm the plate slightly to keep the drizzle fluid longer. Don’t skip the salt—it balances the sweetness. Slice apples right before serving to prevent browning.
