A quick and easy recipe for tender, juicy steak bites cooked in garlic butter, ready in just 15 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights or when you want a flavorful, fuss-free dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat steak pieces dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper on all sides. Let sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat until very hot, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan and swirl to melt. Add steak bites in a single layer without crowding. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden crust forms, turning with tongs.
  4. Push steak bites to one side of the pan. Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter and minced garlic to the empty side. Stir garlic gently as it softens, being careful not to burn it. Spoon melted garlic butter over steak bites to coat.
  5. Remove steak bites from pan and let rest on a warm plate for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Patting the steak dry before seasoning is crucial for a good sear. Avoid overcrowding the pan to prevent steaming. Add garlic near the end to avoid burning. Let steak rest after cooking to keep it juicy. If garlic browns too fast, lower heat or remove pan briefly from heat.
