  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen berries
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel 3 ripe bananas and chop into 1-inch pieces. Freeze in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Add frozen banana chunks to a blender or food processor. Pour in 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of your chosen milk to start.
  3. Pulse or blend on medium speed for about 30 seconds, then stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  4. Add your selected flavor add-ins (e.g., vanilla extract or cocoa powder). Blend again for 30-45 seconds until creamy. If too thick, gradually add up to 2 more tablespoons (30 ml) of milk.
  5. Check texture: if too runny, add more frozen banana pieces and blend briefly; if too thick, add a splash more milk.
  6. Serve immediately for soft-serve style or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1-2 hours for firmer ice cream.

Notes

Use ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness and smoother texture. Freeze bananas in a single layer to avoid clumping. Pulse blender slowly and scrape sides to prevent overheating.
