These adorable mummy dogs are a quick and easy dinner that kids love. Made with just four simple ingredients, they’re perfect for Halloween or any fun weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 beef or turkey hot dogs
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Mustard or ketchup (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles along perforated lines.
  3. Slice each triangle lengthwise into 4-5 thin strips (about ¼-inch wide) using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  4. Cut each cheese slice into 4 small strips. Place one cheese strip on top of each hot dog.
  5. Wrap dough strips around each hot dog, starting at one end and working to the other. Leave a small gap near the top for the face. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffy. Let cool for 2 minutes.
  7. Add two small dots of mustard or ketchup for eyes using a toothpick or small spoon.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and flaky.

Notes

Keep crescent roll dough cold for easier handling. Don’t overwrap the hot dogs; leave small gaps for a mummy look. For best results, reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer, not the microwave. Can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking.
