Ingredients

Scale
  • Whole grain or sourdough bread
  • Natural peanut butter, smooth or chunky
  • One ripe banana, sliced thin
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 2 cups)
  • Whole milk, 2 cups
  • Unsalted butter, 3 tablespoons, softened
  • All-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons
  • Yellow mustard powder, 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Mini slider buns or dinner rolls
  • Cooked chicken breast, sliced thin
  • Marinara sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Vanilla yogurt, 1 cup
  • Marshmallow fluff, 1/2 cup
  • Rainbow sprinkles, 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar cookies or animal crackers, for dipping
  • Fruit juice (grape or mixed berry), 2 cups
  • Gelatin powder, 2 tablespoons
  • Honey or agave syrup, 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich: Toast two slices of bread until golden brown. Spread peanut butter on one slice, drizzle honey or maple syrup if desired. Layer thin banana slices and sprinkle cinnamon. Top with second slice, press gently, slice diagonally, and serve warm.
  2. Classic Macaroni & Cheese: Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain. Melt butter in saucepan, whisk in flour and cook 1-2 minutes. Slowly add milk, whisking until thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in cheddar cheese and mustard powder, season with salt and pepper. Fold pasta into sauce and serve immediately or bake at 350°F for 15 minutes with extra cheese.
  3. Chicken Parmesan Sliders: Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice cooked chicken and warm in marinara sauce. Slice slider buns, place bottoms on baking sheet. Layer chicken with sauce, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan. Top with buns and bake 10-12 minutes until cheese melts and buns toast. Garnish with basil.
  4. Dunkaroo Dip: Fold vanilla yogurt and marshmallow fluff until smooth. Stir in rainbow sprinkles. Serve immediately with sugar cookies or animal crackers. Refrigerate covered up to 24 hours.
  5. Fruit Roll-Up Inspired Jelly: Sprinkle gelatin over fruit juice and let bloom 5 minutes. Warm gently until dissolved, do not boil. Add honey or agave syrup. Pour onto parchment-lined baking sheet, spread evenly. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until firm. Cut into strips and roll up. Store airtight in fridge.

Notes

Use gluten-free pasta and bread for gluten-free versions. Substitute plant-based milks and vegan cheese for dairy-free or vegan diets. Bloom gelatin properly for jelly to set. Avoid overheating cheese sauce to prevent separation. Use leftover roasted chicken for sliders to save time. Fold dip ingredients gently to keep fluff airy.
